A FighTer SElf, WITH Fighter PowerS (2021 -)

Fighter Self, With Fighter Powers is an on-going GIF photography project that imagines black folks, particularly black queer folks, as their higher selves, drawing visual inspiration from magic girl anime transformation sequences and fighting games in “attract mode,” where characters exhibit their roster of moves and special attacks.
